MT. LAUREL, New Jersey - July 28, 2006 - PRICE Systems, world leader in Program Affordability Management Solutions, today announced a major contract award from GovWorks, the Federal Acquisition Center under the Department of Interior which provides acquisition services for Federal civilian and military agencies. Last month, PRICE announced two other major contract awards from the U.S. Navy and the Department of Homeland Security. Each of the three contracts have the potential of bringing millions of dollars of business to the company over the next several years.
PRICE is partnering on the GovWorks contract with Cherokee Information Services, Inc.-a Native American, Veteran, and Employee-owned company headquartered in Arlington, Virginia. Since adopting a strategy of more aggressively forming new business partnerships and teaming with complementary technology and services companies, PRICE has successfully expanded its opportunities in the Federal market.
"Over the past year, we have seen more and more customers shy away from using the GSA IT70 Schedule," said Larry Reagan, Vice President of Government Solutions at PRICE Systems. "Many federal agencies wanted PRICE support but were unable to get to us. Our recent wins in the Federal market have provided alternative contract vehicles that make PRICE more accessible to existing customers as well as many new prospects."
GovWorks, which is a Franchise Fund authorized be Congress and the Office of Management and Budget to offer acquisitions services to Federal agencies, recently moved under the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) and will merge with the former NBC Acquisitions Services organization to form a new NBC Acquisition Services Line of Business.
