PRICE Systems’ TruePlanning® and PRICE Estimating Suite® Receives U.S. Air Force Certification for version 2012
Mt. Laurel, N.J. — August 31, 2011 — TruePlanning® from PRICE Systems, the only software that enables cost estimation of hardware, software and IT projects in a single framework, has been certified by the United States Air Force for use on standard desktop systems connected to its GIG (Global Information Grid).
Michael Shomberg, Vice President for PRICE Systems added that “This Air Force certification is an important third party validation of TruePlanning’s and PES’ quality. Its a testament to the development and quality assurance processes we employ. Our commitment to key agile practices such as, Test Driven Development, subjects TruePlanning to over 280,000 tests 6 times a day. And most recently, we have added processes that insure compliance with the U.S. Government Configuration Baseline (USGCB).?
The USGCB mandate, issued by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), requires federal agencies to standardize desktop configurations to meet USGCB standards. The USGCB is designed to provide a single, standard, enterprise-wide, managed environment for desktops and laptops running Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. Federal government contractor systems that interface with federal government systems are also subject to USGCB requirements. (http://www.microsoft.com/industry/government/solutions/fdcc/).
TruePlanning simplifies the design and management of complex projects by enabling faster and more accurate cost and scheduling decisions. It delivers accurate cost estimating to the aerospace and defense industries as well as government agencies including the Department of Defense, NASA and the U.S. Navy.
