PRICE: Year-in-Review 2005
In 2005, a number of DoD programs and Defense contractors reported True Program Success using PRICE tools. PRICE Research began addressing the new challenges of System of Systems development with innovations such as Affordability Simulation to predict costs earlier in SoS programs. PRICE's existing IT Project Validation Service inherited a broader marketplace after an OMB mandate required government agencies to perform independent cost, schedule and performance validations. The 25th anniversary of PRICE Systems European Symposium and the Company's contributions to the European Union's Virtual Cost Engineering Studio illustrated PRICE's strong international presence.

PRICE White Paper: "Affordability Simulation: Cost Analysis in a Simulation Environment"
The DoD has made significant inroads into a Systems of Systems (SoS) approach to modeling and simulation. None of the simulation tools however consider affordability until after a SoS design is in place—when the cost impact is less manageable. Led by PRICE Research, Affordability Simulation improves SoS cost management by providing a means to understand cost trade-offs much earlier in the design process. Our white paper on the subject identifies the challenges, how they are being overcome, and the value to SoS mission planners and designers.
