PRICE Article Addresses "Visibility" Problem for All Cost Estimators

Cost engineers in both government procurement and industry supply chains are typically under-funded and not as well recognized as other contributors to project teams. Part of the slight, as pointed out by Dale Shermon, Senior Executive Consultant at PRICE Systems Ltd. in the UK, is that cost estimating is under-publicized. In "Selling cost engineering," a feature article of this month's Project Control PROFESSIONAL magazine, Dale discusses the problem and how cost engineers can raise their perceived value to internal and external customer organizations.
