IRS Business Systems Modernization On Track for True Program Success™ Using PRICE Program Affordability Management

While the IRS had made progress in modernizing its management controls and capabilities, weaknesses in certain areas continued to undermine costs and scheduling within the agency's Business Systems Modernization (BSM) program. Leveraging PRICE Systems' consulting services, methodologies and tools, problem areas were corrected and Program Affordability Management extended to improve processes for several related BSM initiatives.

Service Release 1 for PRICE Estimating Suite 2005 Now Available

Service Release 1 updates PRICE Estimating Suite 2005 to address PRICE H™ application of the "As Spent" cost type to some elements, language selections for hardware/software integration, and category selection for throughput elements. This update enables PRICE HL™ to calculate confidence levels based on the correct number of parts and modules sets, as shown on the Initial Supply Matrix and the Detailed Output Report. Service Release 1 also contains improvements to the PRICE Solution for Microsoft® Excel®. These include the ability to open the PRICE Solution from the PRICE H File menu and to promote and demote elements from the PRICE Solution's Edit menu. Service Release 1 also enables operation of the Auto Calculation function.
