For the past 15 years, the Department of Defense (DoD) has placed increasing emphasis on the identification and exploitation of software reuse opportunities when developing new weapon systems. Unfortunately, the results have been mixed at best. This Webinar will discuss the strategies and rationale for reusing software artifacts, explore software reuse pitfalls, and outline what prevents successful implementations. The Webinar will also present common techniques and methods that can be used to improve cost estimates for programs that rely heavily on existing software.
"Lunch and Learn" educational Webinars address Program Affordability Management topics that our customers feel are vitally important to today's procurement, cost management, and program management professionals.
The schedule for 2008 public training at PRICE Systems' training facilities in Hook Hampshire (England) has been released. Many new classes have been added including "True Systems"—a two-day class that provides basic instruction in the use of the True System catalog, a collection of predictive cost models designed by PRICE Systems. Certifications on the subject PRICE Models for cost estimation and project control of programs in government and commercials sectors are awarded upon successful completion of each course. On-site training courses are available upon by request.
