Unified TruePlanning/PES Installation Available
PRICE Systems is proud to announce the unified release of PRICE TruePlanning® 2006 SR1 and PRICE Estimating Suite (PES) 2006 SR1. For the first time, both product suites are packaged on a single CD with a single installer and a single licensing program, representing a major breakthrough for PRICE product development and user support. PRICE users now have the option to work with cost models from either suite with minor adjustments in product licensing policy. The single install will affect all PRICE offerings for PES and TruePlanning 2006 suites.
PRICE TruePlanning Users
The TruePlanner® Application and the catalogs are now licensed per computer with enforced expiration dates. If a catalog license expires, a user may still view a project using those cost objects including calculated results, but may NOT calculate new results with those cost objects or add those cost objects to projects. Projects using only cost objects from properly licensed catalogs will continue to function normally.
PES Users
PES users will want to try the newer TruePlanning cost models to experience a unified framework for software and IT project estimating. TruePlanning and PES models can be used independently on a single installation platform. The unified TruePlanning/PES release is available now.
Features of the Unified Release
PRICE H: Spread Report - Year of Economics no longer affects the Spread Report if the report is set to use As Spent.
PRICE H: Ripple for YRBASE - PRICE H will now ripple YRBASE to other elements when the value is coming from the system element.
PRICE H: Multiple Lots with I&T Auto Calculate - I&T Auto Calculate will now recognize and react to the addition of Multiple Lots to an existing EBS.
PRICE HL: HL Questionnaire - Launching the HL Questionnaire outside of PRICE HL will no longer cause the system to generate an Active X error.
PRICE Excel Solution: Large Value Error - Large values will now properly load from PRICE H into the Excel Solution.
TruePlanner: True H - True H is the latest product offering from PRICE Systems. With the addition of this catalog it is now possible to model component level hardware costs and scheduling within the TruePlanner framework. This early beta release version of the True H catalog is intended to give a preview of the look and feel of True H. The first release version is scheduled for year end and is expected to include hardware Operations and Maintenance (O&M) capability as well as the ability to integrate hardware and software under a common assembly structure.
TruePlanner: Link to Excel - Values for most Cost Object Inputs can now be linked to Excel Work Books. These Excel work books are then attached to the project file for easy file management and reuse.
TruePlanner: True S Software Templates - Software Template files have been added to the installation folder of TruePlanner. These templates provide a starting point for modeling various types of commercial and military software projects.
TruePlanner: True IT - New Code Size Generator Added for Enterprise Software - The New Code Size Input on the Enterprise Software Cost Object now has a generator to automatically calculate the New Code Size value.
TruePlanner: Schedule View - A view detailing Cost Object schedules has been added to the results tab.
TruePlanner: Visual Indicator for Attachments - A visual indicator that an attachment is present on a Cost Object Input will now be displayed on the notes button.
TruePlanner: True S - Improved PRICE S Import - PRICE S import has improved translation value calculations to more closely emulate PRICE S results with TruePlanner.
