PRICE US Symposium "True Program Success '05" Recap
On March 23-25, PRICE Systems hosted cost professionals from Government and Industry at PRICE's US Symposium in Tampa, Florida.
Keynote addresses from Dick Janda, Vice President of Program Assessment and Evaluation for Lockheed Martin and Jim Judy, Senior Cost Analyst, Office of the Deputy Assistant, Secretary of the Army led a lineup of distinguished guest speakers.
PRICE Systems President and CEO Anthony DeMarco spoke on the foundation of Program Affordability Management (PAM), elaborating on the principles of the PRICE solution and steps to be taken to achieve True Program Success.
Guest speaker presentations covered a mix of topics such as "Cost as an Independent Variable," "Total Ownership Cost," and "Software Estimating and Project Control Methodologies." All presentations will be posted to the True Program Success web page. Also during the Symposium, PRICE Systems conducted technical workshops on two of the industry's hottest topics: Earned Value Management (EVM) and Estimating Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
Among attendees were representatives from the Department of Defense, NASA and leading industry contractors such as Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Sikorsky, and ITT. Most attendees took advantage of networking opportunities at the Welcome Reception and Dinner outings. Many also seized the opportunity to network in mild Florida weather during the golf and fishing outings.
An event that continues to build in value for PRICE's extended customer/partner community, initial planning for next year's US Symposium is already underway. Stay tuned for future announcements on True Program Success '06 location and dates.
